If you do not yet have a battery and suitable charger from the STIHL AK-System, you can purchase this set, consisting of the STIHL HLA 56 cordless long-reach hedge trimmer, a STIHL AK 20 lithium-ion battery and a STIHL AL 101 standard charger. Then you can get started right away on cutting and trimming in your garden. The lightweight STIHL HLA 56 cordless long-reach hedge trimmer is ideal for cutting taller hedges, as well as shrubs and ground cover in your own garden and other noise-sensitive environments.

You’ll always have all the controls at your fingertips thanks to the ergonomically optimised control handle. The loop handle helps you manoeuvre the STIHL HLA 56 cordless long-reach hedge trimmer in a set with an AK 20 battery and AL 101 standard charger, even in confined spaces. The single-sided blades are teardrop-shaped to better hold the branches on the cutting blade, resulting in high cutting performance. Tool-free blade angle adjustment lets you turn the angle of the blades through 135° – from -45° to +90° – and easily adjust them for cuts overhead and to the side. The screw-on tip protector protects the cutting attachment in work close to the ground. Our video shows you how to effortlessly cut back tall hedges and ground cover with the HLA 56.

Thanks to the detachable shaft, you can shorten the overall length from 210 cm to 115 cm, making the long-reach hedge trimmer easy to transport and compact to store on a wall bracket.

The HLA 56 cordless long-reach hedge trimmer has a bar length of 45 cm.

It also means that you can work close to the ground efficiently. You can adjust the angle of the cutter bar to several positions to suit your current working position with just two simple movements.

    EASY STARTING. To start the power tool, all you need to do is release the lock using the locking switch. The power tool can then be started using the trigger. The additional ERGO lever enables continuous work without having to restart. The self-resetting locking switch prevents accidental activation of the power tool. Operation is suitable for both left-handed and right-handed users.
