Quality and quality assurance are among the most important characteristics of STIHL. How do you introduce new workers to this subject? Every new employee is familiarized with the STIHL-environment by on-the-job training. The main subjects of this training are health and safety at work, environmental protection and quality assurance. How is quality structured at STIHL? In addition to a central quality department, operational quality Assurance units are in place in R&D, material management and manu-
facturing. In every functional unit we are equip-
ped to deliver the quality to our customers

STIHL is growing every year, which means that you have to train new workers for STIHL. How do you train newcomers in STIHL Quality? New hires at STIHL are supported by a comprehensive on-the-job training. This system provides the employee as rapidly as possible with the necessary knowledge to produce STIHL quality right from the start. How do you manage to bring only fully developed innovations to the market? Fault prevention begins during the design and planning stage and extends through simulations, endurance tests and test stands. We then test the devices in partnership with selected dealers and customers.
