STIHL honored five companies as “2018 Suppliers of the Year”
ANDREAS STIHL AG & Co. KG honored five suppliers with its “Supplier of the Year” award. At a special ceremony on June 4, awards certificates were presented by Dr. Bertram Kandziora, Chairman of the STIHL Executive Board and Executive Board Member for Manufacturing and Materials. “A good partnership means being able to rely on one another. And in the past year we have been consistently able to rely on you, our valued suppliers. Our relationship is not built solely on reliability. You also offer outstanding quality, competitive pricing, flexibility, service and innovative strength, and have been doing so for many years,” said Dr. Kandziora at the awards handover. STIHL has presented the “Supplier of the Year” award to a total of 107 suppliers since 1990.
The five winning suppliers for 2018 are:
- August Rüggeberg GmbH & Co. KG (Marienheide, Germany)
Files, fileholders and file handles - Bruker+Günter GmbH (Schramberg, Germany)
Turned parts - Ernst W. Velleuer GmbH & Co. KG (Velbert, Germany)
Bending and stamping parts - it compact engineering GmbH (Waiblingen, Germany)
Engineering services accompanying development - Nittan Valve Co., Ltd. (Hadano, Japan)

The assessment criteria for the award were outstanding accomplishments with respect to quality, technology, innovation, service and price-performance ratio. The “Supplier of the Year” award highlights the suppliers who have significantly supported STIHL in achieving its goals through their high quality of delivery, punctuality, flexibility, collaboration and contributed expertise.
