Trauttmansdorff Castle in Merano was always in-tended to make a striking impression from every angle. The forest gardens also demand the atten-tion of the castle's gardeners, Michael and Danilo. This means the pair regularly set out with the same mission: sling a clearing saw over the shoulders and head for the slope high above the castle. This time STIHL was there too.
6.30 in the morning: Danilo and Michael are about to find out what's planned for the day ahead. Early morning is the most pleasant time for working on the slopes of the hillside. As soon as the first few rays of sun start to appear and it heats up, each step be-comes even more tiring. Danilo and Michael make sure they don't lose any time. Together with their clearing saws they head straight for the steep climb ahead.
Now they've reached the first site; it's time to get the tools fired up. All Michael and Danilo need to do is pull the T-handle and attach the clearing saw to the forestry harness. Soon their petrol clearing saws are gliding over the grass, transforming the wild growth into cleanly mowed countryside.

"Back in the day we used to do all this in the tradi-tional manner with a brushcutter," explains Michael as he takes off his face protection. It's finally time to go home, the job is complete. Danilo is also satisfied. Both have made exceptional progress and the entire area has been cut.
