The special feature of the STIHL 655 RS petrol lawn mower is the stainless steel lawn roller on the rear axle. This smooths the mown grass in the direction of travel to create the familiar traditional striped lawn pattern. With its 53 cm cutting width and 1-speed gearing, this lawn mower is particularly well suited for large lawns. The blade brake clutch is also advantageous as it enables operation without the blade running. This means, for example, that the 70-litre grass catcher box can be emptied without switching off the engine. The height-adjustable mono-comfort handlebar of the RM 655 RS not only improves handling when mowing. Following use, the petrol lawn mower can be transported with ease and stored in a space-saving manner thanks to the foldable handlebar.

    The plastic grass catcher box can be easily opened and emptied thanks to its folding mechanism. The current of air produced during mowing blows the clippings into the grass catcher box and ensures a high degree of filling. Thanks to the downward-facing vanes, the air is guided sideways towards the ground, preventing dirt from being thrown up. The level indicator signals the correct time for emptying. The airflow generated by the blade raises the level indicator. When the basket is full, the airflow stops. If the airflow is too low, the level indicator returns to its idle state and this is an indication to empty the catcher box. Optimal airflow is required in order for the level indicator to function fully. External influences such as wet, dense or tall grass, a low cutting height, contamination, etc. may affect the airflow and the performance of the level indicator.

      STIHL Smart Connector

      The STIHL Smart Connector forms the basis for using all STIHL connected functions. These functions can be used via both the STIHL connected App and the STIHL connect Portal. Once correctly attached to a STIHL power tool or another manufacturer’s power tool, the STIHL Smart Connector records operational hours while the machine is running, stores them and transmits them to your smartphone via Bluetooth as soon as it is within range. The data received in the STIHL connected App is transferred to the STIHL Cloud when there is an internet connection. The data is stored there in compliance with data protection regulations. The STIHL connected App and STIHL connected Portal allow you to access your power tool data at any time. STIHL connected opens up new avenues for professional users to obtain a convenient and transparent overview of their own power tool fleet.
