Yellow or red stone fruit, felted and round, 5-7cm in diameter. The pretty, edible fruits have a soft, juicy flesh and a deeply furrowed stone.

Rough grey bark, with shallow furrows when older. Branches are glossy dark red on the sunny side, glossy green in the shade, sometimes with furrowed surface, round cross-section, also slightly edged.
