STIHL continues growth in Germany and expands the distribution centre in Dieburg
STIHL is planning further growth in the German market in the mid and long term. The STIHL AG & Co. KG distribution centre located in Dieburg is being expanded to ac-commodate a higher volume of turnover. The ground-breaking ceremony for the new buildings will be held on 15 April 2008 with regional administrator Alfred Jakoubek, city of Dieburg mayor Dr. Werner Thomas, Darmstadt chamber of industry and commerce CEO Dr. Uwe Vetterlein and STIHL advisory council chairman Hans Peter Stihl all in attendance.
“With our new logistics centre now being expanded by 14,000 square metres and outfitted with the most modern technology available, we’re thinking ahead to increased future demand for our forestry, farming, landscaping and construction products” explained Jürgen Steinhauser, head of Marketing and Sales at STIHL. The result will be optimal supply of STIHL dealers on a day-to-day basis. “The goal is higher customer satisfaction through even better availability of STIHL and VIKING products and replacement parts at the dealers,” Steinhauser concluded.
