STIHL helps tsunami flood survivors in South Asia
At a symbolic ceremony on 8 March, 2005, STIHL workers' council chairman Luigi Colosi presented a cheque for 40,000 euros to Andheri Aid organization chairman Elvira Greiner to help the people affected by the disaster in South Asia. Employees of ANDREAS STIHL AG & Co. KG had responded to an appeal for donations from the workers' council and collected this money for the survivors of the terrible flood. It will be used by the Andheri Aid organization in Bonn for work on the south coast of India togrther with village communities in rebuilding essential facilities and community life. It is planned, for example, to build new houses, a kindergarden and a school.
