STIHL secures jobs in Germany and expands worldwide network of manufacturing facilities On July 16, 2004, ANDREAS STIHL AG & Co. KG in Waiblingen and its joint works council agreed on an extension of the company's own job and location security agreement up to December 31, 2007. Furthermore, the company decided to establish a manufacturing facility in China. Both these decisions will improve the competitiveness of STIHL - the world market leader in chainsaws - and create a fundamental precondition for securing jobs and training places at its Germany plants.
