| Six suppliers receive awards from STIHL | |||||||

Waiblingen-based ANDREAS STIHL AG & Co. KG honoured six suppliers with its "Supplier of the Year 2002" award in May. Four of the six companies have their head offices in Germany, one in Italy and one in Austria. ANDREAS STIHL AG & Co. KG is a world leader in chainsaws and also produces a broad range of other outdoor power tools, including brushcutters, trimmers, cut-off saws, blowers and sprayers. The six prizewinning suppliers are among some 300 companies throughout the world from which STIHL currently purchases production materials and components. The certificates that go with the awards were presented at a special ceremony in May by Dr. Bertram Kandziora, spokesman for the board of management and senior vice president, manufacturing and materials, of STIHL AG.
