STIHL grows and invests Worldwide turnover growth of 6% achieved   In the first eight months of 2002 the STIHL group achieved a worldwide turnover just short of € 1.1 billion, which is almost 6 percent more than the same period last year. The share of turnover generated abroad is traditionally high and was in the region of 88 percent in the first eight months of this year. Turnover growth can be attributed primarily to higher unit sales. Had it not been for currency fluctuations, the increase in the group's turnover would be about 2 percentage points higher.
