Exhaust Emission Legislation - Separate EU Course Detrimental to German Power Tool Industry At the beginning of July the European Parliament passed an EU directive on exhaust emission legislation, which deviates in its most important points from recognized international regulations and thus harms the European power tool industry quite considerably. If, as expected, the Council of Europe agrees to the parliament's bill in the next few days, the ramifications will not only be a further market concentration which will affect small manufacturers in particular.
