STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® WM 2009: Jason Wynyard wins world

The fifth STIHL TIMBERSPORTS World Championships was held in the mountains of Brienz, Switzerland. Over 4,000 fans packed the arena to see New Zealand's Jason Wynyard out-chop and out-saw 19 athletes from around the world to claim the 2009 title.

Far away and still in the thick of the action – the STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® WM live Internet stream makes it possible. While the athletes in Brienz, Switzerland vie for hundredths of a second, you can follow every blow and every cut at home.

In the course of Sunday evening, a summary of the highlights of the 2009 World Championship will also be provided for retrieval in the STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® TV Center.

For the first time, the world’s timberjack sports elite will flock to Switzerland: The Fifth Annual STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® World Championship will be held on 13 September in Brienz within the scope of the Brienz Lumberjack Days.. Tickets are available through the Haslital Tourism Board effective immediately.
