STIHL TIMBERSPORTS®

exciting lumberjack sport from the World's No. 1

Timbersports

The STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® Series is established worldwide as the major league of lumberjack sports, with a massive global fan-base following competitive events live and on TV.

The sport originated in Canada, the USA and New Zealand, where lumberjacks held local competitions to determine the best of their profession. Over time these tests of strength and skill evolved to a professional level and in 1985 the first STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® Series Championships were held in the USA. Europe has now witnessed its tenth competitive season, which was marked in September 2010 by Britain's first live demonstration of STIHL TIMBERSPORTS®.

Athletes are tested on their strength, endurance and technical ability with an axe and chain saw, and in the competitive Series the British have enjoyed significant success, celebrating a Nation's Cup team win and medals at three past Championship events.
