Technology serves nature – managing cultivated landscapes

STIHL products make an important contribution to the cultivation, maintenance and management of nature. They are applied to conserve forests and in sustainable forest management, to prevent wildfires, and in professional field and forest maintenance. In the era of urbanization, it is particularly important to cultivate and maintain green areas such as parks and gardens. They serve as cities' "green lungs," provide the inhabitants with a natural environment for recreation, and help to reduce carbon dioxide (CO₂ ), one of the main causes of global warming, because plants that are trimmed bind even more CO₂  afterwards.
