Chapter picture: Correct balance during mowing

Correct balance during mowing

Before you actually start to mow, you should make some important preparations. The correct seating of the shoulder strap is important for easy and comfortable work - since it ensures that the machine is correctly balanced. The following sections show the things to which you should pay attention. If you would like to see a detailed view, simply position your mouse cursor on the picture in question.

First put on the strap. The spring hook should be positioned about one hand's width below your right hip.

Then place the carrying ring in the spring hook, adjust the handles and slide the carrying ring along the shaft until the brushcutter is correctly balanced. The cutting tool should just touch the ground while this is being done. With the brushcutter correctly balanced, the cutting tool will automatically be at the correct cutting angle.

If you have positioned the brushcutter correctly, you arms will be slightly bent and your wrists will be straight. Special notes on working with the circular saw blade can be found in the related operating instructions.
