Kickback tendency
Kickback is one of the most dangerous situations which can arise when working with a chainsaw and occurs when the moving chain strikes wood or a solid object near the upper quarter of the bar nose. STIHL saw chains with 3-hump tie straps (Picco™ Mini 1 and Rapid™ Micro™ 2) have been optimized with regard to reducing their kickback tendency.
