European foresters' competition in nordic skiing (EFNS)
The EFNS has continuously been the sporting rendezvous for foresters from all over Europe competing in Nordic skiing since 1969. STIHL has been a partner in this popular sports event for many years.
No World Cup run is safe from the foresters, no Nordic skiing area too remote, to miss this Europe-wide event. Every year since 1969, forest lovers from more than 20 European countries have made the time to take part in the competitions and exchange experiences with other professionals. Nearly 1,000 ambitious amateur skiers compete in the various cross-country and biathlon events.
Right from the beginning the foresters turned an elite competitive sport into a popular sport with wide appeal and guided its development towards well-regulated, environmentally friendly cross-country courses. STIHL has been a committed partner for many years and helps to run the competitions.
